We templated the layout by hand using industrial paper patterns before transferring the shapes onto the mirror panels back at our workshop. Every notch and angle had to be perfect before we ever stepped back on site.
Cutting the mirrors was the most delicate part of the process. For this New Rochelle job, we used 1/4″ silver-backed safety mirror glass with polished edges. We scored the sheets using a handheld glass cutter and broke them along the lines with clean control, then hand-sanded every edge to prevent chipping. Even a small imperfection can ruin an entire panel during install, so our team double-checked every edge and dimension before loading up the van.
Installation day came with its own set of challenges. Navigating the mirror through the narrow entrance and around fixtures required teamwork and precision. We used high-grip suction tools, industrial-grade adhesive, and hidden security brackets to anchor the mirror panels flush against the wall. Alignment was key — one misstep would have thrown off the entire visual line. But once in place, the reflection was seamless, expanding the space dramatically.
